Live Demonstration of an Agile No-Cost Screening Tool for the Feasibility of Hydrogen-Fueled District Energy Systems
This session will provide a live demo of Energy Fellow, an agile DOE-funded software tool that helps investors identify business opportunities in the District Energy space. The tool allows the user to overcome four barriers: (1) the high number of combinations of thermal energy generation technologies available, (2) the high number of potential layouts for distribution systems (3) the technical knowledge required to configure a feasible district energy system, and (4) the time-intensive process and costs associated with feasibility analyses. The tool includes H2-fueled systems and is publicly available at no cost and its design guidelines and motivation will be presented.
