Intrinsically Safe Mass Flow Meters & Controllers
IS-Max™ mass flow meters and controllers are used to control inline processes for flowing gases, such as continuous gas chromatography. IS-Max™ devices hold CID1 certifications, meaning they have been certified safe to use in Canada and the USA within Class I Division 1 and Zone 0 hazardous locations, where explosive gas atmospheres are continuously present. This, in addition to their ATEX Zone 0 & IECEx means users can standardize on a single integration and communications architecture, for programming process control systems and sharing data across international sites. Data collected is particularly rich, as the MFCs collect data on volumetric and mass flow, temperature, and pressure continuously during operation. An optional relative humidity sensor adds to their reporting and control capabilities—up to 13 parameters can be monitored and set. Proportional valves in the mass flow and pressure controllers provide even and rapid control, ensuring steady behavior in a potentially variable flow system.
