Award-winning H2 gas analysis: Archigas presents new ATEX screwdriver variant to the public!

The H2 industry's eagerly awaited option of a screw-in H2 gas analyser from Archigas with ATEX Zone 1 certification is here! TCD3000 SiA is the name of the ultra-compact measuring device based on the company's already awardwinning innovative sensor technology (including the ‘Hermes Startup Award 2024’) - for particularly fast, precise, stable and even moisture-resistant hydrogen measurement directly in the process and in safety-sensitive environments. ‘This innovation meets the highly specific needs of numerous interested parties from all over the world and from a wide range of H2 industries,’ said Archigas Managing Directors Illya Kaufman and Wladimir Barskyi in the run-up to the premiere. The TCD3000 SiA was presented to the public for the first time at the leading European hydrogen trade fair ‘Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe’ on 23 and 24 October in Hamburg.

The first prerequisite for hydrogen ramp-up is safe and reliable handling of the highly flammable gas - industrial producers and users know this, and occasional incidents also make society aware of it. H2 measurement is therefore of fundamental importance and there is a great desire for optimised solutions for hydrogen detection at various points in the process chain. With unique solutions for particularly fast (less than 30 milliseconds), highprecision, stable and even moisture-resistant detection, Archigas has achieved a decisive breakthrough for even safer and more profitable hydrogen utilisation, according to scientists and users. The first screw-in type with ATEX certification represents the latest quantum leap - and now complements the supplier's range of H2 gas analysers. The new product is available with the designation TCD3000 SiA in the specifications Ex II 2 G Ex db IIC T4/T3 Gb, -40°C to +90°C/+120°C for ATEX ZONE 1.

‘With the ATEX screw-in version, we are consistently expanding the application possibilities of our technology. The flameproof encapsulation design saves users additional, costly integration measures. In this product, we have realised down to the last detail what H2 manufacturers and users from various application areas have been longing for. Without wishing to exaggerate, it now gives many plant manufacturers the opportunity to think in a completely new way,’ says Kaufman. The latest device variant from Archigas is also based on the company's measurement technology, which was presented for the first time last year and which has implemented the predestined thermal conductivity measurement principle in an innovative new technical way and combined it with semiconductor technology.

Introducing the TCD3000 SiA - on 23 and 24 October in Hamburg

Interested parties were able to get a first-hand impression of the new H2 gas analyser in ATEX screwdriver form at the product premiere as part of the ‘Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe’. ‘We are excited about Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe The event was excellently organized and fantastically well attended - a big compliment to the organizers. The interest in our product was overwhelming. We will be back next year,’ said Wladimir Barskyi, CEO Archigas.

The latest innovation from Archigas was on display at stand 1K2 in Hall 1 of the ‘Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe’ on 23/24 October in Hamburg. Archigas is highly specialised in microsensor technology (MEMS) and gas analysis. Since its foundation in 2020, the company has been developing sensor solutions, particularly in the fields of thermal conductivity, pressure and flow measurement. Archigas' declared aim is to offer customers cost-effective plug & play solutions for the reliable fulfilment of highly complex analysis tasks. Since 2022, the company has also received funding from the state of Hesse as part of the LOEWE programme - State offensive for the development of scientific and economic excellence - for the development of measuring devices for the exploration of natural hydrogen and helium deposits. In 2024, Archigas received the prestigious ‘Hermes Startup Award’ from Federal Research Minister Bettina Stark-Watzinger. The Swiss company SERTO AG is a minority shareholder in the company.
