HYTING’s first hydrogen heating customer will be Flusys

Flusys will be representing HYTING’s first customer now that they have agreed to use HYTING’s latest product as a way to heat their new production facility.

Now that this agreement has been made, HYTING has stated that they are expecting to both commission and install their technology by 2025. This part of the project will take place at Flusy’s production facility in Germany, specifically Offenbach, for precision pumps. From there the 1,000-metre production space will then be heated through the use of hydrogen which will be sourced from a nearby supplier.

The German firm is a startup company and they have developed a forced-air heating system which is currently in the stage of awaiting patents. It is clear that the technology that they have made offers a ‘simple, safe, efficient and clean way to generate heat directly from hydrogen, without combustion.’

Furthermore, the system operates through the use of a ‘catalytic process to turn hydrogen and oxygen from air into heat which does not produce any CO2, NOx, or particulate emissions,’ and the only by-product of this process is water. On top of this, the system has also been reported to be modular and scalable in design, meaning that it is able to offer an output of 10-300kW.

Founder and Managing Director of HYTING, Tim Hannig, commented, “We are certain that hydrogen will help decarbonise the heating sector. By radically simplifying the use of hydrogen’s thermal energy we developed an innovative hydrogen-fuelled heating technology.”

CEO of Flusys, Carsten Neutzer, made it clear that they are a ‘firm believer in the future of hydrogen’ and was open to HYTING’s technology, stating, “The technology immediately fascinated and excited us. We hope to be able to give a boost to this new CO2-free technology.”
