This year hydrogen has been cemented as the fuel of the future. Worldwide, it has been recognized as a versatile fuel that can improve energy security and pave the way for net zero emissions.

Governments unleashed significant funds to catalyze private investments and policies to kickstart the hydrogen economy, namely the US Inflation Reduction Act and the announcement of a multi-billion-euro EU Hydrogen Bank. 

The REPowerEU plan saw the European Commission double its previous H2 targets to ten million tons of hydrogen production and ten million tons of imports by 2030. 

In 2022, Hydrogen Technology Expo North America and Europe played an important role in stimulating the hydrogen economy through connecting buyers and suppliers. The two events brought together hundreds of exhibitors, speakers, and thousands of attendees. 

In 2023, we will continue to push ahead to advance the hydrogen economy by increasing the number of exhibitors and international pavilions at our events.
