NewHydrogen Launches Its Green Hydrogen Generator Prototype

NewHydrogen Launches Its Green Hydrogen Generator Prototype

NewHydrogen, a pioneering innovator in the field of low-cost green hydrogen production,  released an update (24 January) on their much-anticipated prototype hydrogen generator, a platform for further developments that highlight their remarkable, cost-efficient, and highly effective catalyst technology. The Company has currently initiated a comprehensive acidic water splitting test which utilizes industrial grade platinum and iridium-based catalysts to evaluate and define the performance of existing catalysts and form a universal testing process.

Furthermore, larger quantities of catalyst are needed to optimize the prototype electrolyzer. In order to get the prototype ready for full cell performance assessment, NewHydrogen is aggressively synthesizing its innovative catalysts to identify activity transitions into the electrolytic cell, the extent of long-term stability, hydrogen production rate, exact energy consumption, and overall cost effectiveness of the catalyst.

The surging hydrogen vehicle market, with the most probable estimation of its takeoff being 2028, has mainly been attributed to the falling prices of green hydrogen and energy-related issues faced by several countries across the world. As such, this technology has gained attention from the auto industry, government, and consumers alike.

“We are very pleased with the progress being made in our green hydrogen program at UCLA,” said Dr. David Lee, CEO of NewHydrogen. “We look forward to seeing more exciting achievements as we methodically expand our technology focus beyond catalysts in 2023.”
