~Rs 2,800 Cr Transmission Project in Gujarat for Green Hydrogen/Ammonia Manufacturing won by AESL

Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) India’s largest private transmission and distribution company, has won a power transmission project in Gujarat.
The project Adani has won supplies green electrons for manufacturing Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia within Mundra, Gujarat. Altogether the project will cost ~Rs 2,800 crore and it will be delivered to the nation within 36 months.
The project’s name is "Transmission System for Green Hydrogen/Ammonia Manufacturing Potential in Mundra, Gujarat” and involves adding two large 765/400kV transformers to the Navinal (Mundra) electrical substation, to upgrade it. Plus, this substation will be connected to the Bhuj substation via a 75km long 765kV double-circuit line, which will soon be built.
The project SPV was officially transferred to AESL on March 20th 2025, it was under the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) mechanism which AESL won the project with PFC Consulting Limited as the bid process coordinator.
This win is AESL’s 6th order win for this fiscal year, which takes the company’s orderbook to ~Rs 57,561 Cr.
The plan is for the project to gain an addition of 150 cKM worth of transmission lines, along with 3,000 MVA of transformation capacity to AESL’s overall transmission infrastructure. This will bring them to 25,928 cKM and 87,186 MVA, respectively.
