Verdagy and Doral to collaborate over Doral’s 1GW hydrogen project

A strategic agreement has been created between Verdagy and Doral, which states that Verdagy will supply their green hydrogen electrolysis systems to Doral. This deployment will include Verdagy’s 20MW electrolyser system, which recently received endorsement from the oil and gas major, Shell.

The plan for this agreement, is for the companies to work together on Doral’s green hydrogen development pipeline of more than 1GW. This is a large and significant project, as it is being developed throughout several places, including the US, Australia, the Middle East and also Europe.

The interest that Doral has shown in Verdagy’s electrolyser, comes after Verdagy appointed a new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), in order to help the company increase the rate at which its electrolysers were being commercially deployed. This was evidently a very effective decision, as since then, both Shell and Doral have expressed interest in the electrolyser.

CEO of Verdagy, Marty Neese spoke about the company’s interest in pushing ‘the green hydrogen transition with Doral, who boast a track record of developing infrastructure-scale projects for over 15 years.’

Doral Hydrogen Managing Director, Yam Efrati-Bekerman, mentioned, “Verdagy has developed electrolysers that seamlessly pair in real-time with renewable energy sources, have the highest efficiencies and are cost-effective. With Verdagy’s electrolysers already operating for several years, we are excited to now use these in our infrastructure-scale, green hydrogen projects.”
