Alexis Griffin is the Decarbonization Technology Licensing Director at Shell Catalysts & Technologies, leveraging over a decade of diverse experience within the company.
Her journey with Shell began in 2005 as a Control Systems Engineer at the Convent refinery in Louisiana. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Florida A&M University and completed an Executive MBA at The University of Memphis. Throughout her career, she has contributed to Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Development, and Operational Excellence in industries such as Chemicals, Energy, and Aerospace. Most recently she was Decarbonization Director of the Utilities sector for Shell Energy North America where she collaborated with regulated and deregulated utilities as well as independent power producers to explore decarbonization pathways for heavy to abate industries.
In her current role, Alexis collaborates with customers across the oil and gas, chemicals, midstream and power sectors to reduce their Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions by licensing technologies such as CANSOLV for carbon capture and Shell’s Blue Hydrogen process to produce low carbon hydrogen from natural gas. assist them in achieving their decarbonization goals and objectives. She is committed to leveraging innovative solutions to address decarbonization and climate change challenges.
