Jeff Simmons brings over 30 years of experience in the energy and power generation industries to Toshiba’s businesses in the Americas. He leads corporate development activities and oversees new power generation and heavy ion cancer treatment businesses in North America from TAES’s offices in Houston, Texas. Jeff also serves as chairman of TurbinePROs, LLC and its Canadian subsidiary, TurbinePROs R. E. Services, Ltd. A recognized leader in the energy sector, Jeff and his teams have developed more than 10 GW of gas, coal, nuclear, and renewable power projects, managing over $13 billion in transactions, including $5 billion in M&A deals. He joined Toshiba in 2014, co-managing TAES’s Houston office, and has held various senior roles, including officer and general manager at Toshiba America Nuclear Energy Corp. Jeff’s career began at Commonwealth Edison Company in 1991, followed by roles at PG&E National Energy Group and TXU Corp. He holds a BS in civil engineering from Southern Illinois University and an MBA from Southern Methodist University, and is a graduate of the executive leadership program at the University of Texas at Dallas.
