Suhaib Kaissi is an accomplished professional with over a decade of experience in the oil and gas industry, beginning his career in 2011 at the Iraqi drilling sites of MOL Group—an integrated Hungarian oil & gas company with operations in 30 countries and a workforce of 25,000. Suhaib has excelled in various domains and leadership roles, including procurement, risk management, and supply chain management, in both upstream and downstream operations. In 2021, he joined the Petrochemicals Business Management team, focusing on value chain optimization, economics, digital tools, and project management. Recognized for his contributions and leadership, Suhaib has received numerous awards and accolades, including the prestigious Golden Barrel Award, an honorary citizen award from the Mayor of San Diego, acknowledgment as the most active alumni in the world by the Department of State, and scholarships from the Houston Transportation Club and Houston Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Association (HCBFFA). Suhaib is known for his ability to foster strong human connections, drive performance improvements, lead high-performing teams, and leverage data-driven insights through his expertise in analytics, accounting, and digital technologies. His commitment to empowering the next generation of professionals is evident in his active involvement in mentoring and leadership programs. He currently serves as the Program Chair for the SPE-GCS Scholarship Mentoring Program, a board member at the Energy Coalition, and holds an advisory position for the Supply Chain Industrial Distribution Organization. Suhaib holds a bachelor’s degree in Business & Economics and an Executive MBA from Central European University. He recently completed a Postgraduate Program in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Texas at Austin and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Supply Chain and Logistics Technology at the University of Houston, with graduation expected next summer.
