Greg Matlock, Partner- Americas Energy Transition and Renewable Energy Leader, EY

Greg Matlock is a Partner/Principal in EY’s National Tax Department (Houston based) and serves as EY’s Americas Energy Transition and Renewable Energy Leader. Greg has significant experience throughout the energy transition spectrum, with a particular emphasis on carbon capture use and sequestration projects (point source, as well as direct air capture), as well as hydrogen (blue, green and other variants), and other energy-transition related asset classes. Greg teaches Energy Taxation at the University of Houston Law School, and he recently re-joined EY from Mayer Brown, where he served as a Partner and the Global Energy Tax and Energy Transition Leader. Greg is a frequent speaker (and writer) on energy and energy tax issues.

Roxana Bekemohammadi, Founder and Executive Director of the US Hydrogen Alliance

Roxana is a hydrogen and fuel cell thought leader, beginning as a graduate researcher on the world’s first demonstration of trigeneration of hydrogen, electricity, and heat from a stationary fuel cell. She then went on to serve as a hydrogen expert for the California Air Resources Board (CARB). During her time at CARB, she helped develop and implement two landmark clean transportation initiatives. She holds a Masters Degree in Environmental Engineering from the National Fuel Cell Research Center and earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Michael Dwinnell, Executive Director of the Texas Hydrogen Association

Mr. Dwinnell is the Director of the Texas Hydrogen Association and has been affiliated with the American Hydrogen Association since 1990. He has 35 years of experience in top management positions at multiple energy companies in the US, directing private equity investments in the upstream sector of the oil and gas industry. Mr. Dwinnell recently assisted in the creation and successful launch of an energy sector SPAC funding $172.5 MM at IPO on NASDAQ (SYM: CENQU).

Professor Kaushik Rajashekara, Distinguished Professor, University of Houston

Prof. Kaushik Rajashekara received his BE, ME, and PhD from Indian Institute of Science. He joined Delphi division of General Motors Corporation in Indianapolis, IN, USA as a staff project engineer in 1989. In Delphi and General Motors, he held various lead technical and managerial positions, and was a Technical Fellow and the Chief Scientist for developing propulsion for electric, hybrid, and fuel cell vehicle systems. In 2006, he joined Rolls-Royce Corporation as a Chief Technologist for More Electric Architectures and power conversion/control technologies for Electric, More Electric, and Hybrid Electric Aircrafts. Since September 2016, he is a Distinguished Professor of Engineering in University of Houston. He has published more than 250 papers in international journals and conferences, has 37 U.S. and 15 foreign patents; and has written one book, and contributed individual chapters to 8 books.

Matt Kittell, Director at Société Générale S.A.

Matt Kittell is a Director with Societe Generale’s Sustainable Finance team where advises clients on energy transition financing, including CCUS and hydrogen, with an emphasis on public / private partnerships. Matt joined Societe Generale in April 2023 after fifteen years with the U.S. Department of Energy’s Loan Programs Office where he worked on energy transition project finance.
